Alan Mair will release his new single Ghost Of You In Me on 25 August 2025, marking a compelling return from the legendary musician of The Only Ones.
Written, sung, and produced by Mair, the track finds him playing every instrument except the lead guitar, which is performed by Zal Cleminson. Blending alternative rock with an anthemic lift, the song explores how love can linger after separation or loss. “When you are deeply in love with someone and they move away—or even pass away—some believe their spirit comes back to visit,” Mair says of its inspiration.
The single arrives from an artist whose live and studio pedigree is long established. Mair has performed thousands of shows, including Glastonbury and Wireless Festival, and his work with The Only Ones has influenced generations of bands—from The Replacements and Nirvana to The Libertines and Blur.
